DwgFind or DwgLocate?
I have rename DwgFind to DwgLocate when I find, that DwgFind already used by another author.
So, Dwglocate ver 1.0 newer, then DwgFind ver 3.6.
Now you can try DwgLocate 4.0.

If every day of your life has something to do with AutoCAD, you definitely know, how bad is the problem of organizing drawings and searching for a necessary file among hundreds and thousands of others.
If you are a human (and not a robot-organizer, which has all files properly named, sorted by folders, archived, and so on), you can be scared by a task like “find file with a sketch of building A”, or “find all plans with place B”. The only signs that can give you a clue of what’s inside the file are the text labels on the drawings inside the file, but standard search tools are not capable of indexing and searching for AutoCAD files, since all texts inside the drawings are in a specifically-encoded format.
The solution is DwgLocate. It works just like a mature desktop search engine, with index creation and updating and then performing the fast search. But it’s a specialized search engine, which specifically addresses just DWG (AutoCAD) files.
The software is very simple and easy-to-use. In its only window you can setup, which folders are to be indexed and re-indexed, where to store index data; and of course, you can search (with all usual options like “whole words only” or “case sensitive”).
Search results are rich enough: they are not just a bunch of file names; instead, they appear as file names accompanied by search strings found inside those files. And by clicking on the “Open and zoom” button you’ll immediately have the drawing opened and focused on the label you searched for.
